报告人简介：
邱方教授是国际知名的地理信息科学专家, 在高光谱，高空间分辨率，和激光雷达遥感等领域享有盛誉. 他曾在2008-2009年担任全球华人地理信息科学学会的主席，2010-2012年任美国地理学会遥感专业委员会副主席. 他于2013年获美国摄影测量与遥感学会最优科学论文奖，并在2011和2013两次获得美国地理学会遥感专业委员会最优论文奖. 邱方教授现在是德克萨斯大学达拉斯分校的终身教授与该校地理空间信息科学系的系主任。
报告内容简介：
The recent improvement of remote sensing systems in spatial, spectral and dimensional resolutions has posed great challenges for traditional image processing methods. Over the years, we have developed novel approaches to process hyperspectral data, high spatial resolution data and LiDAR waveform data by capitalizing the rich information furnished by the new remote sensing technologies. These approaches formed a new paradigm of big spatial data analytics – the curve matching based approaches. High performance geocomputing is needed to support such a new paradigm.
